About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, hands-on finance professional with strong analytical capability and leadership potential. You will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring reporting accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and supporting executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with precision and compliance.
  • Supervise General Ledger (GL) maintenance and ensure accurate accounting of all transactions.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, liaising with auditors and external advisors.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support strategic objectives.
  • Enhance financial controls, streamline processes, and identify automation opportunities.
  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring liquidity and optimised working capital.
  • Mentor and develop team members within the finance function.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Part qualified CPA (or equivalent professional accounting qualification).
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or full working rights.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial regulations, and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
