- Support month-end and year-end close processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Help design and implement financial systems, tools, and scalable processes as the business grows.
- Partner with internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, product) to streamline financial workflows and improve reporting accuracy.
- Monitor spend, support cost optimisation initiatives, and provide insights to management.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining financial controls, policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Contribute to capital management activities such as investor reporting, grant applications, and funding processes.
- Support external audits, tax filings, and liaise with auditors, advisors, and regulators.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across finance and operations.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support to leadership on strategic projects (e.g., new market entry, pricing models, or partnership evaluations).
About You
- 3–5 years' accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced or scaling environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, or similar) and Excel; exposure to workflow/automation tools a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable "rolling up your sleeves" to solve problems in a growing business.
