The Senior Project Officer Fire Equipment and Innovation Systems leads the development and implementation of robust systems, processes and standards for fire equipment development and asset maintenance. Reporting to the Innovation Programs and Governance Lead, the position plays a vital role in developing, implementing and sustaining sound asset management principles and continuous improvement across a diverse range of equipment and innovation programs. The position requires a practical and motivated individual with analytical and 'systems thinking' skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to developing standardised work processes to improve efficiency and streamline workshop and asset maintenance operations.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of lean management principles including 5S methodologies and its application to equipment development and maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge or experience working in a workshop environment including general mechanical aptitude and skills.
  • License to perform high risk work (Forklift) would be advantageous.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is Altona North.
