Integrated Transport Officer

**Fixed Term - Full time**

**Salary: Band 6 - $91,930 - $101,484 pro rata + superannuation**

We are seeking a motivated Integrated Transport Officer to join our team and help implement our Integrated Transport Plan, ensuring the development of a sustainable and accessible transport system for the Hobsons Bay community. This position is an exciting opportunity to combine strategic thinking, innovative program development, and community engagement to inspire a shift towards sustainable travel choices.

**What you’ll be working on**
- Providing expert advice to internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic and sustainable transport outcomes in line with Council goals.
- Developing and implementing programs, education initiatives, and promotions to encourage active and public transport uptake among staff and the community.
- Preparing concept plans, secure grant funding, and deliver impactful transport projects, while also representing Council in external working groups.
- Planning for the use of emerging technologies, including electric vehicles and shared mobility services, to enhance transport sustainability and efficiency.
- Consulting with stakeholders to ensure transport policies and projects reflect current and future community needs.

**What you need to succeed**
- A tertiary qualification in transport planning, behavioural change, strategic planning, traffic/transport engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of integrated transport systems and sustainable transport principles, including active transport, public transport, and land-use planning.
- Proven experience in developing behavioural change programs and strategic transport policies.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to deliver within timeframes and budgets.
- Proficiency in GIS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A valid driver’s licence.
