The Position
As a Family Lawyer you will be responsible to handle Family Law cases. The role involves business development too, so the ideal candidate should be willing to participate in those activities. This role is to only work in person at Melbourne CBD office with WFH when required.
The Role
Key responsibilities:
- Building and managing a portfolio of Family Law matters, the successful candidate will have passion for this area of law and provide exceptional client service;
- Providing comprehensive legal advice to new and existing clients;
- Representing clients in settlement conferences, mediations and court hearings;
- Drafting correspondence, briefs and other legal documents; and
- Engaging in business development activities.
The CandidateAs a successful applicant:
- Proven experience as a Lawyer, ideally within Family Law matters;
- Business Development experience would be a plus;
- Confident and personable with a genuine dedication to helping clients;
- Strong writing, drafting, negotiating and advocacy skills;
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, planning, verbal and written communication skills;
- The ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally at all levels;
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Results-oriented, self-starter, with a high level of initiative; and
- Adaptable and amenable to changing priorities.
