As the Resilience Specialist you will support Adelaide and Parafield Airports to plan for and minimise the impact of disruptions to airport and business operations.

The role will be responsible for building and maintaining a sustainable response capability through effective relationships across customers, industry stakeholders and emergency response agencies and building AAL's resilience maturity in line with AAL's risk appetite.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building relationships and establishing communications with all airport employees, emergency services, airlines, tenants, and contract personnel to gather information and build networks of co-operation across the airport community
  • Building preparedness for disruptive events and effective and rapid return to normal operations
  • Management of the Airport Crisis, Incident, Emergency and Continuity plans, policies and procedures, and various emergency notification contact lists and systems
  • Lead the creation, review, and continuous improvement of Business Continuity Plans across all business units, ensuring alignment with the organisational risk framework and regulatory requirements
  • Research, recommend and procure resource solutions, including people, equipment, services, and software to optimise organisational resilience and improve overall crisis, incident, and emergency preparedness.
  • Design and facilitate regular exercises to ensure regulatory compliance, test recovery capabilities, raise awareness, and build resilience across teams. Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on continuity procedures.

Key requirements include:

  • Minimum eight years' experience in a similar or related field with strong stakeholder management experience
  • Tertiary qualifications / Certifications in emergency management, aviation or equivalent will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain business continuity frameworks, including risk assessments, recovery strategies, and continuity plans
  • Proven experience in process improvement and delivering operating efficiencies
  • Experience in building response capability through training, exercising and professional development programs
