At MakesCents, we've built our reputation on helping Australians secure the right home loan. Now, we're expanding into Buyers Advocacy to give our 1,500+ clients a trusted partner in purchasing investment property. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a new business arm, play a foundational role in shaping its direction, and grow alongside a high-performing mortgage brokerage. MakesCents is backed by EMBR Group - a 10 year old digital marketing agency that specialises in lead generation.
The OpportunityWe are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Buyers Advocate to lead the establishment of our new internal property advocacy service. This is more than just a client-facing role – you'll be instrumental in building processes, systems, and brand positioning while directly assisting clients to find, evaluate, and secure quality investment properties.
We will build a team around you.
You'll be supported by the broader MakesCents team and with your expertise, we will create a thriving property advocacy arm.
You will be leveraging over 1,500+ exisiting mortgage client relationships and supported by an unlimited amount of digital marketing leads (supplied by the EMBR Group side of the business).
What You'll Do- Partner with clients to identify property investment goals and create tailored strategies.
- Research, source, and negotiate the purchase of high-quality investment properties.
- Build and maintain relationships with selling agents, developers, and industry contacts.
- Establish the framework and playbook for our Buyers Advocacy division.
- Work closely with the mortgage brokers to deliver a seamless end-to-end experience for exisiting and new clients.
- Represent the brand at networking events and industry functions.
- Provide education, insights, and guidance to clients throughout their buying journey.
- Proven experience in property buying, buyers advocacy, real estate, or investment advisory.
- Strong knowledge of property markets, investment principles, and negotiation strategies.
- Entrepreneurial mindset – excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up.
- Ability to work autonomously, while also collaborating with a broader team.
- A client-first approach with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Real Estate License.
