Skills & Experience

  • Multiple positions (both permanent and casual)
  • Experience as a Sushi Chef in an a la carte restaurant
  • Experience with a traditional Omakase menu (preferred, not essential)
  • Excellent knife skills. Ability to expertly cut and fillet
  • Have a strong understanding of Japanese produce, culinary techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • Japanese language highly regarded
  • Have passion, enthusiasm, and flair for Japanese Cuisine
