About The Firm
My client is a modern and growing firm operating out of brand new offices in the Eastern suburbs of Brisbane.
They pride themselves on delivering outstanding services to theirclients and creating a welcoming, collaborative environment for their team. They are a close-knit firm that values professionalism, approachability, and genuine care—for both their clients and each other.
They're on the lookout for a Administration Assistant to work in a hybrid role of administration and accounting. If you are wanting to transition into accounting - this is the perfect opportunity for you.
About the Role
This is a diverse role with plenty of variety. You'll be the first person their clients meet—both in person and over the phone—and you'll help keep the back office running smoothly. Key duties include:
- Greeting clients and answering phone calls in a warm, professional manner
- Managing front desk operations and maintaining an organised reception area
- Assisting with administrative duties including data entry, filing, photocopying and document preparation
- Booking and managing client appointments and internal meetings
- Assisting with basic accounting tasks - full training will be provided.
- Supporting the wider team to ensure the office operates efficiently and effectively
What They're Looking For
They're after someone who is client-focused, proactive, and reliable—with a solid foundation in administration. No prior accounting experience is required but if you have it - that's a bonus The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in an administrative or reception role—ideally within accounting or professional services
- Experience using accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Xero, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- A team-oriented approach and a positive, can-do attitude
