Job DescriptionThe Opportunity
The Commercial Specialist will play a key role in shaping Arc's transition to a new commercial environment. They will be responsible for providing inputs and advice across all business units, supporting development of strategies and business processes across commercial, asset management, maintenance and stakeholder engagement. They will be required to assess and react to complex scenarios, in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
Key Duties
- Assessing business-wide processes and leading the implementation of changes and improvements to meet business obligations, including undertaking business process mapping
- Take a key role in the development of Arc's commercial strategy, including preparing for negotiation or arbitration of regulated track access
- Interpreting economic regulation and articulating the key obligations, risks and opportunities to a diverse range of internal stakeholders
- Researching related economic regulatory regimes and developing recommendations to inform Arc's internal decision-making and business strategy
- Clearly communicating complex concepts, including preparing reports, letters, power-point presentations and other documents for both internal and external audiences
- Developing and maintaining strong long-term relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and government bodies
About You
- Strong comprehension and communication skills, with demonstrated ability for critical thinking and capacity to think cross-functionally
- 5+ years experience in relevant commercial or regulatory roles
- Demonstrated experience in process or systems mapping
- Degree in law, commerce, economics or regulatory policy advantageous, but not essential
- Demonstrated experience in project management and/or change management roles advantageous, but not essential
