Your opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse (CN) to join our team. The Clinical Nurse practices autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services within a rural / remote health service setting.

In this role you will provide a high-quality specialist, community based Mental Health Service to clients with serious mental health problems in the South West region. You practice will be in keeping with national and state best practice requirements. You will have no direct reports or financial delegations and will be reporting to the Team Leader, Mental Health and ATODS.

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. In this role you will provide direct consultation and coordinate referral management as well as contributing to the development and ongoing evaluation of the model of care.

The clinical nurse assumes responsibility for professional leadership in the service and applies critical thinking across all the domains. You will provide liaison, education and support to families, the general community as well as private, public and non-government providers.

Engagement with community and non-government services is an important component of the role with an expectation to lead the development of innovative service options.
