Contracts Administrator

As a Contracts Administrator, you will play a key role in the effective management of large scale solar farm and battery storage projects, overseeing the contract administration activities for entire construction lifecycle from tender to delivery. Your key responsibilities will include the management and administration of upstream contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders, ensuring alignment with project practices and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the tender process for subcontractors and suppliers, encompassing pre-qualification, evaluation, implementation, negotiation, and contract review and drafting.
- Execute these processes in a timely, efficient, concise, and considerate manner.
- Issue all contractual correspondence under both the main contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Ensure clear and effective communication to maintain project transparency and alignment.
- Provide timely advice and updates to the project team, facilitating their execution of the project.
- Anticipate issues, events, and risks under the contract, offering recommendations for legal and commercial solutions to mitigate these risks.
- Be proactive in identifying key risks under the respective contracts and identify opportunities to flow down these risks where appropriate.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier progress and performance.
- Lead claims and dispute resolution procedures, aiming for legal and commercially beneficial solutions.
- Collaborate with project team and senior management to address and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage billing and invoicing for respective projects based on information received from the project team.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions related to contracts.
- Navigate a variety of contracts including EPC, O&M, Subcontract Agreements, D&C, consultancy, supply agreements, labour hire, equipment hire/lease agreements, and maintenance contracts.
What will you bring to the role?
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or related field. Additional certifications in contract management are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in contract administration, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and negotiating complex contracts.
- Proficiency in contract management processes and industry best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Extension of Time & Cost claims
