As the Contracts Manager at ACLE Services, you will lead the contractual and commercial management of large-scale solar farm and battery storage projects across Australia. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that all contractual engagements from upstream client contracts to downstream subcontractor agreements are executed effectively, aligning with project objectives and company standards. You will provide strategic oversight, mitigate risks, and drive commercial success throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Strategy & Management:

  • Develop and implement contract management strategies for EPC, O&M, D&C, and other relevant agreements in the renewable energy sector.
  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and close-out processes.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

  • Identify potential contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance and address any deviations promptly.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual matters with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Facilitate clear communication channels to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned.

Claims & Dispute Resolution:

  • Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes in collaboration with legal counsel and project teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive records to support claim substantiation and defense.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Contracts Administrators and Officers, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the contracts team.

Financial Oversight

  • Collaborate with finance and project management teams to monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance related to contracts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing in accordance with contractual terms.

What will you to the role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in contract management within the construction sectors.
  • Proven track record in managing complex contracts and leading negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of Australian construction laws and standards.
  • Qualifications in Contract Law or Commercial Management. Desirable
  • Experience with renewable energy projects, particularly solar and battery storage systems. Desirable
