Service Business Development Manager

South Australia | $100–$120K base + tools of the trade | $160–$200K OTE

You like building things that last.

Not just deals — books of business.

This role is with an established South Australian industrial services company. They've been trusted by manufacturers, workshops, and industrial operators for decades — keeping operations safe and moving with lifting systems, inspections, and essential gear.

Now they're ready to turn trust into traction — and they need a Service BDM to lead it.

Here's the deal:

  • $100–$120K base + tools of the trade
  • OTE $160–$200K (tiered bonuses on 3-year contracts + renewals)
  • Warm-first motion: most conversations start with existing relationships
  • Clear path into higher-ticket project sales once you're flying

Day to day?

You'll meet operators on-site, translate inspection findings into rectification work, and convert warm accounts into 3-year service contracts. You'll protect wins from price-cutters, grow renewals, and expand into aligned industrial clients. Shorter cycles than capital projects. More reps. More wins.

Why it's compelling:

Every contract is sticky revenue and a door to more. A $50k service agreement can unlock approximately $100k of downstream work. The ambition is big: from ~50 contracts today to 360+ by 2030. You'll help build that engine.

You'll thrive if you:

  • Bring technical aptitude (mechanical/industrial/trades exposure helps)
  • Have B2B sales/account management in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Sell consultatively — diagnose, de-risk, deliver (not race to the bottom on price)
  • Are curious, direct, and follow through
