Finance Manager -Funds Management

Alternatives | Private Equity | Venture Capital

Foundry Talent Partners has been exclusively engaged to recruit a Finance Manager for a leading Australian alternative asset manager with a strong track record across private equity, venture capital and alternative investment strategies.

This is a hands-on, broad finance role overseeing fund accounting and reporting across multiple funds, as well as corporate accounting for several local and offshore entities. It's a great opportunity for a technically strong finance professional seeking exposure to both traditional and emerging asset classes within a high-performing, entrepreneurial team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end fund accounting, financial reporting, and performance analytics across multiple funds.
  • Oversee corporate accounting and reporting for several entities, including international structures.
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual fund accounts, audits, and investor reporting.
  • Manage capital calls, distributions, investor registers and tax compliance.
  • Support the Partners and investment teams with analysis and financial insights.
  • Assist with company secretarial, tax, and banking processes as required.
  • Drive process improvements across fund operations and reporting systems.

Experience & Skills

  • Background in fund accounting within alternative assets (private equity, venture capital, hedge funds or similar).
  • Strong understanding of fund structures, investment vehicles and valuations.
  • Chartered (CA/CPA) qualification
  • High attention to detail, strong Excel skills and experience with Xero or MYOB.
  • Comfortable managing multiple entities, stakeholders and priorities.
  • Ideal for an established Finance Manager or Senior Fund Accountant ready to step into a broader role.
