About the role

Our four-year Apprenticeship Program gives you the hands-on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. As part of our program, you'll receive necessary tools, TAFE accommodation and additional support if required.

The roster is Monday to Friday working a 9 day fortnight

You will be responsible for supporting the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of fixed plant infrastructure and components across Northparkes' operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Assisting with welding, cutting, and fabricating metal components
• Learning to repair structural elements of fixed plant equipment
• Supporting preventative maintenance and shutdown activities
• Maintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standards
• Attending TAFE and completing formal training requirements
• Committing to maintaining health, safety and security standards
• Demonstrating behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values

About you

You are practical and detail-oriented individual with a passion for fabrication and metalwork. You have completed or are completing Year 12, and hold a current Driver's Licence. You should be eager to learn, work safely, and contribute to a team that values excellence and respect. You can communicate clearly, follow instructions well, and enjoy working with your hands. Whether through school, hobbies, or personal projects, you've shown initiative and a strong work ethic. You must be ready to take on challenges, grow your skills, and build a rewarding career in mining with Evolution.
