About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SIL Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our SIL home. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of NDIS practices, and a passion for supporting people with disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives.

This role involves coordinating staff, ensuring compliance with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission standards, maintaining participant wellbeing, and creating a positive home environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the SIL home and ensure high-quality participant support.
  • Manage, lead, and mentor support workers to deliver safe and person-centred care.
  • Develop and maintain participant support plans in partnership with families, guardians, and allied health professionals.
  • Ensure NDIS and organisational compliance, including incident reporting, risk management, and documentation.
  • Manage rosters, recruitment, training, and staff performance.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and culturally appropriate home environment.
  • Build strong relationships with participants, families, support coordinators, and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor participant progress and ensure goals are regularly reviewed and supported.
  • Respond to emergencies and support after-hours needs where required.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in disability services, residential care, or NDIS SIL environments.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS practice standards, SIL operations, and duty of care.
  • Proven leadership or team coordinator experience.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage complex behaviours with empathy and professionalism.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, WWCC, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Full Australian working rights and valid driver's licence.

Desirable Criteria

  • Certificate IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or higher.
  • Experience working with high-intensity supports or behaviour support plans.
  • Understanding of restrictive practices and positive behaviour support.
  • Experience in staff rostering systems (e.g., Deputy, ShiftCare, Brevity).

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
