Position Details

  • Position Title: Rostering Coordinator
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Reports To: Operations Coordinator

Works Closely With: SIL Team Leader, Managing Director, Support Coordinators, Operations Coordinator, Support Workers

Position Purpose

  • The Rostering Coordinator is responsible for managing daily scheduling across NDMHS's SIL home and community clients. The role ensures that participants receive reliable, high-quality support delivered by compliant, skilled, and well-matched workers.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Rostering & Scheduling

    • Manage and fill daily shifts for SIL and community support clients.
    • Respond promptly to cancellations, shift changes, and urgent needs.
    • Ensure shifts are filled efficiently while maintaining participant preferences.
    • Communicate all roster updates to staff and relevant parties.

Compliance & Worker Readiness

    • Ensure support workers maintain required compliance documentation.
    • Report compliance gaps to the Operations Coordinator and SIL Team Leader.
    • Maintain staff availability records and shift preferences.

SIL Home Support

    • Work closely with the SIL Team Leader to allocate suitable workers.
    • Support 24/7 roster patterns (sleepover, active nights, etc.).

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders.
    • Notify participants or families of necessary changes.
    • Liaise with Operations Coordinator for compliance consistency.

Timesheet Coordination & Accuracy

    • Review timesheets before payroll processing.
    • Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Systems & Reporting

    • Update roster data in CRM systems.
    • Produce weekly rostering and performance reports.
    • Assist with staffing-related administrative tasks.

Skills & Experience – Essential

    • Workforce rostering/scheduling experience.
    • Understanding of NDIS or disability sector workforce.
    • Strong communication and organisation skills.
    • Ability to manage high-volume scheduling.
    • Experience using rostering/CRM software.

Skills & Experience – Desirable

    • SIL or disability service rostering experience.
    • Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards.
