  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements across the procurement function.
  • Prepare reports and analysis for senior management, contributing to strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior management to manage budgets, forecasts, and company objectives.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the industry.

What we're looking for: -

  • Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably within aquaculture, agriculture, or a related perishable or FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade, customs procedures, and government compliance requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Business, Aquaculture, or a related field are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly advanced Excel skills for inventory management and reporting.

Desirable attributes: -

  • Passion for aquatic life and sustainability.
  • Experience working with live animal logistics and biosecurity protocols.
  • Familiarity with Australian import regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What we offer: -

  • A collaborative and purpose-driven work environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • Involvement in strategic initiatives and decision-making.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
