Your Role

As our Sales Estimator, you'll be the bridge between client vision and construction reality. You'll work closely with our sales and design teams to prepare detailed cost estimates, assess project feasibility, and ensure pricing aligns with market trends and client expectations.

Key Objectives

· To plan, co-ordinate and perform all project related estimating, purchasing and administration functions including the preparation of cost estimates and purchase orders for North Homes NSW.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Document Review

- Review plans, specifications and schedules prior to estimate commencement.

- Check for approved Client variations, if any.

- Ensure that the Drafting Department is advised of any discrepancies in the plans and documentation.

- Ensure that outstanding information is followed up to avoid possible delays.

· Bill of Quantities

- Prepare cost estimates in a timely manner.

- Ensure measurements are accurate and bill of quantities completed as per North Homes set cost centres.

· Tender Packages

- Issue price requests to suppliers and subcontractors for specific trade packages required on individual or group of dwellings.

- Ensure tender requests are complete with the information that may be required by the tenderers, e.g., scope of works, specifications and tender closing date.

- Ensure timely submission of tenders by following up with service providers ahead of close of tender.

- Review and evaluate tender responses to ensure compliance with the required scope.

- Compare/vet tender responses and ensure equitable pricing.

- Co-ordinate with Estimating/Project/Operations Manager for further direction prior to processing orders or appointing subcontractors.

· Purchase Orders

- Review the cost estimate before issuing the purchase orders.

- Prepare purchase orders for all goods and services as per North Homes procedures.

- Allocate cost centres as per approved vendor selection.

· Administration and Management

- Process ETS requested by the site supervisors as per North Homes ETS procedure.

- Ensure back charge forms are completed in relation to ETS, if applicable.

- Ensure timely processing of invoices to avoid delays in Vendor payments.

- Assist in processing of "Early Orders", e.g., Preliminaries, Insurances, Survey, etc., as required.

- Assist in approving joinery shop drawings, if required.

- Assist Customer Service in raising Client Variations, if required.

- Provide assistance to cohort in Estimating and other departments as may be required.
