Manager - Sponsorship and Partnerships

Position Purpose
The Manager – Sponsorship and Partnerships plays a pivotal leadership role within CCF QLD, responsible the leadership of the Events and Marketing department and for driving the organisation's commercial growth through the strategic development, acquisition, and management of corporate partnerships, sponsorships, associate members and fundraising initiatives.
This position leads the sponsorship strategy, nurtures high-value relationships, delivers innovative events and campaigns, and ensures strong partner engagement and retention. The role also oversees the planning and execution of sponsor activations at key events, contributing to the overall brand strength and revenue sustainability of the organisation.
The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sponsorship and partnership strategy aligned with CCF QLD's strategic objectives and annual revenue targets.
- Identify, establish, and secure new corporate partnerships, sponsorships, associate memberships and collaborations that deliver mutual value.
- Negotiate, draft, and execute partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with brand values and strategic priorities.
- Lead and report on sponsorship revenue streams, forecasting trends and providing insights for continuous improvement.
Relationship and Stakeholder Management
- Build, maintain, and grow long-term relationships with sponsors, partners, and corporate supporters.
- Deliver exceptional partner care through regular engagement, reporting, and recognition.
- Represent CCF QLD at industry events, conferences, and meetings, acting as an ambassador for the organisation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure sponsors are effectively integrated into events, campaigns, and communications.
Event and Activation Delivery
- Lead the planning and delivery of sponsorship components across CCF QLD's major events, including awards, conferences, and member functions
- Work with the Events team to ensure sponsor entitlements and branding are executed in line with contractual agreements.
- Manage event budgets, schedules, and supplier coordination, ensuring high-quality delivery and sponsor satisfaction.
- Develop innovative sponsor activations and experiences that enhance engagement and visibility.
Campaigns, Grants, and Marketing
- Develop creative digital and physical campaigns to strengthen the brand of CCF QLD.
- Research, write, and submit grant applications and reports.
- Oversee and manage all CCF QLD marketing and communication channels.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Manage and mentor the events team fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Collaborate closely with the Events and Membership teams to align sponsorship and partnership activities with organisational priorities.
- Contribute to cross-team initiatives and uphold CCF QLD's values of integrity, collaboration, and excellence.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor of Business, majoring in event management, marketing or equivalent.
- Proven success in developing and managing sponsorships, partnerships, associates and corporate fundraising portfolios.
- Strong background in marketing, business development, or relationship management.
- Experience delivering end-to-end event activations, including budgeting, logistics, and post-event reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- Exceptional written skills for proposals, grant submissions, and partner communications.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Commercially astute, with strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Desirable
- Experience in the not-for-profit, civil construction, vocational education, or events sectors.
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with sponsorship measurement and ROI evaluation tools.
- Understanding of WHS, risk management, and event safety planning.
