CQ Rescue Health Services is a NATA Accredited drug and alcohol testing organisation that has been successfully operating for over 15 years.

CQ Rescue Health Services provides unique and valuable incentive to our customers where all proceeds from our drug and alcohol testing service are donated to CQ Rescue. CQ Rescue is a charity providing essential life-saving aeromedical, disaster relief, and search and rescue helicopter services to the Central and North Queensland community operating now for 29 years.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Manager to fulfil a full-time maternity leave contract for 12 months.  This role is responsible for driving growth, building strong client relationships, identifying new market opportunities and day-to-day running of the business.   The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, a strong sales background, and a passion for motivating a team to exceed targets.  The successful candidate will also be required to travel regularly.

The opportunity for continued employment in a full-time Business Development Manager role is available based on performance review on the completion of the maternity contract.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities

· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders

· Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue targets

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets

· Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and presentations

· Demonstrate experience in finance including managing and building budgets and financial reporting as requested

· Develop and implement media, communications, and public relations strategies

· Assist the growth of our social media presence and website content

· Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reporting to senior management and CEO.

· Track and report on business development activities

· Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Management or a related field; MBA is a plus

· years of sales experience, including at least 2 years in management or leadership role

· Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding business growth targets

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

· Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights

· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
