With a strong heritage and a forward-looking approach, we are expanding our Sales Team and are seeking a Business Development Manager – Sugar with experience in the sugar industry to drive growth, strategic partnerships and nurture our long-standing relationships within the Queensland sugar industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities within the sugar production and processing chain
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the Queensland sugar industry
  • Analyse market trends, pricing, and competitor activity to make informed strategic decisions
  • Assist with developing growth strategies aligned with sales budgets and operational goals
  • Collaborate with internal departments including production and logistics to deliver customer-centric service
  • Participate in contract negotiations and assist in the closing of deals that support long-term business objectives
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows

Requirements

  • Proven track record in business development or sales with exposure to the sugar milling industry
  • An understanding of sugar production processes preferred but not essential
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel as required
