About our Business

With a Grand renovation of the 1910 Heritage building about to be completed the summit restaurant located at the top of Mt Coot-tha is looking for a Head Chef. The Summit Restaurant Brisbane encompasses an unprecedented outlook and open-air experience overlooking Brisbane's CBD.  Delivering a Modern Australian themed food and beverage experience, using our onside edible gardens, beehives and Indigenous food elements the menu will be unique. The kitchen has had a complete renovation so you will be working with brand new equipment. As Head Chef you will be in charge of our 200-seat restaurant, Function spaces and a bar.

The role

  • Lead and guide the kitchen team and further develop the business.
  • Deliver high quality dishes, consistently well, in a fast-paced, busy environment.
  • Work closely with our Executive Chef to develop and implement menus across the business.
  • Receive great support in your role from our Executive Chef and our Central Kitchen facility.

The Head Chef

Must be:

  • Reliable, level-headed, punctual and organised.
  • Lead by example and passionate about what they do, innovative and experienced.
  • Experience with functions
  • Work fast, clean and motivate team by leading by example.
  • Deliver great food consistently while managing their brigade and kitchen budgets.
  • Experience as a previous Head Chef will be of a distinct advantage, but a great attitude is a must.
