Western Tavern is a small, well-loved venue in Mt Gambier, with plenty of untapped potential. We're looking for a driven and focused Head Chef to take the reins, lead our kitchen, and help us elevate our offering.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a small but passionate kitchen team, driving high standards and consistency
  • Take ownership of the menu, food quality, and presentation
  • Manage stock, costs, and ordering efficiently
  • Work closely with management to support the venue's short-term focus on growth and customer experience
  • Bring ideas and energy to improve operations and drive revenue opportunities

What we're looking for:

  • Experienced Head Chef, with previous kitchen leadership experience
  • Strong organisational skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team
  • A problem-solver who thrives on challenges and opportunities
