Senior Field Support Engineer – Onsite & Field Service

Our client, a leading healthcare organisation, is seeking a skilled
Field Support Engineer
to join their Technology Services Operations team. This is an itial 6 week contract, on-site role providing both
deskside and remote IT support
, with regular travel to multiple locations and a key presence 5 days a week on-site based in Greenwich Sydney.

About the Role:

As the first point of contact for IT support, you'll handle Level 1 and 2 incidents, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, assist with system setups, and support end users with a strong customer-focused approach. This role suits someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and supporting a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote and onsite deskside support across hardware, software, and network systems
  • Manage service tickets and escalate issues as needed
  • Deploy and maintain devices, operating systems, and applications
  • Offer technical guidance and deliver outstanding customer service
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to support knowledge base
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors
  • Participate in on-call support rotation and after-hours support when required

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years' IT support experience, ideally with field service exposure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, networks, and common office tools
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Office, and remote support tools
  • Excellent communication and a proactive, service-oriented mindset
  • A relevant qualification in IT or related field preferred
  • Must be willing to travel to various sites and provide in-person support regularly
