Wangaratta, VIC | Temporary Full Time until January 2028 | $76,232 per annum + super
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant regional community? The Rural City of Wangaratta is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Projects Officer to help deliver our Capital Works program and support the Infrastructure Planning and Delivery team.
What You'll Do
As a Projects Officer, you'll be the engine behind our infrastructure initiatives. Your role will include:
- Coordinating project reporting and administration using CAMMS and our Integrated Project Management framework
- Supporting procurement, budgeting, and contract processes
- Preparing reports, presentations, and maintaining accurate project documentation
- Assisting with grants, community planning programs, and internal training
- Keeping project information up-to-date across systems and public platforms
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings:
- Qualifications or experience in business administration, project coordination, or procurement
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- High-level computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office and records management systems
- Knowledge of project management and procurement frameworks (local government experience is a plus)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
