Role Overview
We're looking for an experienced Customer Service Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring every interaction is smooth, supportive, and aligned with the values of Black Sheep. While your focus will be customer service, there is also opportunity to expand into community and ambassador engagement as part of your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service (Primary)
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, live chat, in-store and social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Strava).
- Deliver exceptional in-person service in our Teneriffe showroom, assisting with product selection and fit.
- Guide customers through the online shopping experience, from product advice to troubleshooting.
- Manage and support VIP customers, building lasting relationships within the Black Sheep community.
- Ensure smooth and on-time delivery through effective communication with our 3PL network.
- Collaborate with the Customer Experience Lead and Operations Manager to continually optimise the customer journey.
Community Growth & Ambassador Support (Secondary)
- Support the coordination of ambassador activities and events under the guidance of the Community team.
- Assist in organising occasional community initiatives, events, or campaigns.
- Build relationships with ambassadors, ensuring they feel connected and supported.
- Contribute ideas for community engagement and brand activation.
Qualification & Skills
- Customer Service Experience: 3+ years in a fast-paced environment (FMCG, retail, or e-commerce preferred).
- E-Commerce Expertise: Familiarity with Shopify and Gorgias (or similar platforms).
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and conversational skills.
- Organisation & Problem Solving: Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Passion for an Active Lifestyle: Ideally, you are a cyclist or runner with a personal connection to the Black Sheep ethos.
Bonus skills (not required but valuable):
- Experience with community engagement, events, or social media.
