Quick overview of the role

We are currently seeking an Operator/Forklift Driver to join our friendly day shift in the Logistics department in a full-time capacity. You would be responsible for overseeing the operations in the yard to ensure safe and effective production. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and be a key player in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you

What will you be doing?

  • Conducting pre-start checks on all equipment and machinery before it is used.
  • Reporting any faults to Supervisor immediately.
  • Driving/reversing trailers in the yard, cage and bar shop.
  • Ensure Safe loading/unloading of all trucks.
  • Stock count weekly.
  • Keep yard neat, tidy and safe.
  • Emptying and control of scape bins.
  • Unloading/loading of raw material trucks.
  • Work with manager to have yard set up efficiently.
  • Help loading of load cells onto trucks.
  • Load Bar/coil into shed

What are we looking for in the successful candidate?

  • Experience in production processes and quality control.
  • Physically fit and able to operate machinery.
  • Current Forklift license.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organised and ability to follow directions and safety requirements.
  • First Aid qualification preferred.
  • Previous experience within the industry highly regarded.
  • Good understanding of computer programming advantageous.
  • Truck license – HR-MC preferred.
  • Training in CoR highly regarded.
