About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Bush Regenerator Leading Hand to join our environmental management team.

You'll lead a small crew delivering high-quality on-ground vegetation management and ecological restoration projects across [region].

This hands-on role combines team leadership, fieldwork, and reporting — ideal for someone passionate about the environment, who enjoys mentoring others and seeing tangible ecological outcomes.


What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and supervise a field team to achieve daily and project objectives.
  • Identify native and weed species, regional ecosystems, and reference communities.
  • Implement best-practice weed control and vegetation management techniques.
  • Conduct vegetation assessments, site monitoring, and provide ecological recommendations.
  • Operate small plant and equipment safely, ensuring team WHS compliance.
  • Complete daily work sheets, herbicide application records, and SWMS updates.
  • Assist with mapping, project documentation, and vegetation management plans.
  • Maintain vehicles, equipment, and chemical storage areas to a professional standard.
  • Support a positive, safety-focused team culture.

About You
  • Certificate III or IV in Conservation and Ecosystem Management (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in bush regeneration or natural area management.
  • Sound knowledge of native and invasive plant species (SEQ and Northern NSW familiarity highly regarded).
  • Current Chemical Handling (ACDC) and First Aid qualifications.
  • White Card
  • Manual driver's licence (4WD experience desirable).
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
