Boilermaker

Due to a strong pipeline of projects extending well into 2026, Engineering Trades Australia are seeking experienced Structural Steel Boilermakers and First-Class Welders to join a leading fabrication team based in Currumbin & surrounds, on the Gold Coast.

About the Role

You'll be part of a busy, well-established workshop involved in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of heavy structural steel components for projects across the mining, construction, and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and plans
• Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel components to specification
• Perform high-quality welding using GMAW, FCAW, and MMAW processes
• Cut, drill, and shape steel using both hand and power tools
• Conduct quality inspections and repair works where required
• Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts safely and efficiently

What We're Looking For

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker / Welder)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in structural or heavy fabrication
• Proven competency in positional welding and AS/NZS qualifications
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
• Experience operating cranes, hoists, and forklifts
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Current Australian driver's license
