The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at PBC Landscape Supplies' as an Assistant Manager. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role a first point of contact for customers and supporting the overall operations.

Reporting directly to the business owner , you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities, managing staff, and contributing to the growth and success of the company. This is a full-time position based in Currumbin Waters.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Receive and coordinate customer sales enquiries
  2. Oversee and coordinate the work of team members, including scheduling, task allocation safety and customer service
  3. Ensure efficient and effective operations, including inventory management, customer service, and compliance with health and safety standards
  4. Open and closing of operations
  5. Ideally also be skilled or willing to learn to operate equipment from time to time including loader, forklift and tipper truck

What we are looking for

  1. Ideally previous experience in a similar Assistant Manager or supervisory role, preferably within the retail front desk or landscaping industry
  2. Great positive communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  3. Fit and willing to lift heavy objects from time to time
  4. Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  5. Proficient in using business software, such as inventory management and reporting tools
  6. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  7. Passion for the construction and landscaping industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
  8. Must hold permanent residency status or equivalent Australian work rights
