The role:
We're looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our Brisbane office and play a key role in supporting our growing team in Australia. This is a varied position covering the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance management, employee wellbeing, and employee relations.
As the local HR contact, you'll provide day-to-day operational support while also contributing to exciting global projects across Inside Travel Group. It's a chance to combine hands-on HR delivery with the opportunity to shape long-term people initiatives that drive engagement, development, and culture. If you're looking for a role where you can make a real impact locally while collaborating with colleagues around the world, this is it.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support on employee relations, including conduct, performance, grievances, and wellbeing.
- Manage recruitment and employer branding activities, ensuring a consistent candidate experience.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction, creating smooth and engaging experiences for new starters.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and collaborate with internal committees (social, wellbeing, L&D).
- Alongside the Global HR Manager, maintain and improve HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Contribute to reward and wellbeing strategies, ensuring fairness and competitiveness
- Represent HR locally, working closely with the AU Branch Integrator and leadership team to align people practices with business goals.
What we are looking for from you:
- Proven HR generalist experience, ideally across the full employee lifecycle.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law and best practice, ideally experience within a Retail setting.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Confident communication and relationship-building skills, able to engage employees and influence senior stakeholders.
- Empathy, integrity, and a people-first approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable working independently while staying connected to a global team.
- AHRI certification
- Bonus: experience working in an international context, training in mental health first aid, or a deep love of any of our destinations
We recognize that job adverts are often a wish list, and no candidate can have equal experience in every required/desired skills, however if you think you would be a good fit for Inside Travel Group and this role, we would welcome an application from you
What you get in return:
- Annual discretionary performance (individual and company related) bonus
- 25 days annual leave, rising by one day each year to a maximum of 28 days.
- Day off on your birthday
- Enhanced parental leave
- Employer pension contribution
- Employee Assistance Program
- Volunteering leave
- Designated learning and development time
