Leading government client based in North Coast Region is looking for a Human Resources Officer position. Initital contract until Aug

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Human Resource Officer plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, timely operational HR support and advice to Directors, Managers, and staff across the North Coast Region. A key focus of the role is managing recruitment activities, including participating as a panel member to recruit and select for significant infrastructure projects. You will ensure the region's vacancies are filled efficiently and in alignment with departmental policies and procedures. You will also provide expert advice on workforce management, role descriptions, and compliance with relevant legislation and directives.

To be successful for the role, you will have experience with the below mentioned:

  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, and HR policies within the Queensland Public Sector.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate HR systems and documentation, such as SAP HR, organisational charts, and FTE reporting
  • Experience in managing recruitment activities, including participating as a panel member to recruit and projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Resilience, adaptability, and the capacity to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment
