About Council
Maranoa Regional Council is a progressive and community-focused local government in Southwest Queensland. The Role
Reporting to the CEO this is a strategic and hands-on leadership role that will shape the future of work at Maranoa Regional Council. As Manager People & Capability you will lead a capable team of 5 and drive initiatives that energise the workforce, embed a high-performance culture, and align people strategies with Council's operational and corporate plans. From workforce planning and employee engagement to IR and leadership development, this role is central to building a resilient, skilled, and motivated organisation. You will also play a key role in EB negotiations, succession planning, and organisational development.
About You
As a seasoned HR leader with a passion for people and regional communities you have tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field and can bring solid experience across the complete HR spectrum. Renowned for your energy and as a trusted advisor you are a collaborative leader, and a strategic thinker who thrives in dynamic environments. Your ability to influence, engage and drive change will be key to your success. Experience in local or state government or alternatively complex organisations will be highly regarded, as will your commitment to inclusion and continuous improvement.
