In achieving these ambitions, the department is seeking an Executive Director, People, Culture and Capability who will lead with purpose and authenticity—someone who inspires a workforce to embrace change, delivered with empathy and integrity, and upholds the values of fairness, respect and corporate service. This leader will bring strategic expertise in organisational culture, capability development and workforce transformation, ensuring staff are equipped, supported and empowered to deliver exceptional outcomes in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Assistant Director-General, Corporate Services, this pivotal leadership role will drive cultural transformation and capability uplift across the department.
Your impact
- Provide strategic leadership to build organisational capability and foster a respectful, inclusive culture.
- Lead contemporary HR, WHS and employee relations strategies that enhance performance and compliance.
- Strengthen trust in the HR function through expert advice, stakeholder engagement and operational excellence.
- Champion a "one Department of Justice" approach through collaboration, innovation and accountability.

You are an adaptive, values-driven leader with deep HR expertise and the ability to navigate complexity. You bring:
- Proven senior HR leadership experience within government or large, complex organisations.
- Strong technical knowledge across workforce strategy, employee relations and safety.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- A collaborative leadership style that builds trust and delivers results.
