About the role

Team Leader – Community Outreach and Support

As a Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our community outreach and support programs. This position is all about ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while fostering a safe, supportive environment for both clients and staff. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team delivering vital services across mental health, substance use recovery, housing, and justice—making a real difference in people's lives every day.

This position is a hands-on leadership rolewhere you'll:


• Lead and mentor to foster a positive, inclusive team culture


• Build strong relationships with external partners and service providers


• Ensure programs and case management processes align with our innovative therapeutic framework, delivering the highest standards of quality, care and client outcomes


• Support staff in complex casework and crisis situations with empathy and confidence


• Collaborate with other leaders to strengthen teamwork and service delivery across the organisation


• Balance rostering, service needs, and staff wellbeing to create sustainable impact


• Manage budgets, contracts, and key performance indicators with precision and accountability

This position is offered as part-time 0.6FTE, fixed-term contract until 30th June 2026, with a strong potential for extension or permanency.

What You'll Bring

Essential Criteria:

  1. Qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology or a related field

  2. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to develop, coach, and motivate teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused services.

  3. Experience working with individuals affected by FDV, homelessness, alcohol and other drugs or mental health

  4. Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting of programs, and meeting contractual obligations.

  5. Strong understanding of appropriate relationship boundaries with clients and other service providers

  6. Case management experience, including developing and reviewing case plans, risk assessment and safety plans

  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage across diverse teams and stakeholders

  8. Strategic thinking and planning skills in the development of work systems/processes. You're always looking for ways to improve service delivery

Desirable:


• Experience and passion for providing line management supervision


• Competency in CSNet or similar case management software

Other Requirements


• National Police Clearance


• Working with Children Check


• Valid WA Driver's Licence with a good driving record
