We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician (light Vehicle Mechanic) to join our team, this full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional who is looking to take their experience to the next level. This role is not your typical "Oil & filters only" as we are a fast-paced workshop with a wide variety of different work opportunities dependant on your skillset. Our work consists of Vehicle servicing, Mechanical repairs, 4x4 accessories & upgrades, Auto electrical, air-conditioning and diagnostics on all types of vehicles.

About the Role:

The right candidate will be someone who has a strong background in the automotive industry with 2 years post trade experience. Someone who has high-quality workmanship with a great work ethic, honest & reliable. You will be required to work a apart of a team environment as well as working closely with the service manager and provided support day to day. What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled vehicle servicing on a wide range of vehicles
• Perform Mechanical Maintenance & repairs including: Brake repairs, Timing belts, clutch replacements & Suspension upgrades
• Perform tyre changes and wheel alignments (Experience not essential)
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues
• Use advanced diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve issues correctly
• Strong diagnostic knowledge, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used (Fully digital workshop / job cards)
• Adhere to all relevant safety and quality standards
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• Motor vehicle repairers certificate
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Light Vehicle Mechanic
• A Valid C class drivers license
• Current National Police Clearance
• Own tools
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
• Must be confident and experienced
• Must be well presented
• Must have excellent time management
• Must have High attention to detail

• Above awards rates of pay based on experience & performance
• Daily overtime paid
• Monthly bonus system
• Option to advance to leading hand / head mechanic (not essential)
• Up skilling & training provided
• Good working hours Monday- Friday
• Overtime optional but not essential
