About the Role

Our client is growing their geoscience division and is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Geologist to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering geological and geotechnical insights across infrastructure, mining, and environmental projects. Working within a collaborative and high-performing environment, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of major developments across Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities


• Site Investigations: Plan and conduct geological and geotechnical site investigations, including borehole logging, core description, and sampling.


• Fieldwork Coordination: Supervise drilling programs, test pit excavations, and in-situ testing to assess subsurface conditions.


• Data Interpretation: Analyse geological, structural, and geotechnical data to assess ground conditions, rock mechanics, and material properties.


• Reporting: Prepare detailed geological models, interpretive reports, and geotechnical assessments to support design and construction activities.


• Client Liaison: Work closely with engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers to ensure technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Key Criteria


• Experience: 8+ years' experience as an Engineering Geologist within consulting, mining, or infrastructure sectors.


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in geological logging, data interpretation, and modelling software (e.g., Leapfrog, GIS, or gINT).


• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology, Geoscience, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications desirable).


• Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.


• Safety Focus: Commitment to maintaining high standards of field safety and data integrity.
