Senior Exploration Geologist (8:6 Roster) Location: WA

Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off

The Company Globe 24-7, in partnership with a leading gold mining client in Perth, is seeking an experienced and adaptable Senior Exploration Geologist. With the company entering an exciting growth phase, this role offers exposure to diverse projects and excellent long-term career opportunities.

The Role As a Senior Exploration Geologist, you will play a key role in prospect assessment, target generation, and the development of exploration programs. You will also provide supervision, technical expertise, and safety leadership to project teams, geologists, and field technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise and generate exploration targets, design work programs, and provide recommendations on project progression.
  • Manage fieldwork programs and site teams to ensure technical standards are met and data is interpreted in a timely manner.
  • Monitor program budgets and ensure activities are delivered within approved financial limits.
  • Provide in-field technical guidance and mentoring to junior geologists.
  • Ensure compliance with tenure, heritage, health, and safety obligations.
  • Deliver accurate and timely data interpretations and reports to stakeholders.
  • Assist with evaluating new exploration opportunities.
  • Contribute to recruitment and training of exploration staff.
  • Lead safety initiatives including work area inspections, toolbox talks, and pre-start meetings.

Requirements

  • Proactive and approachable leadership style with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in gold exploration across a range of deposit styles and project stages.
  • Strong understanding of mining, health & safety, heritage, and tenure legislation.
  • High attention to detail, excellent time management, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Micromine and ArcGIS (essential).
  • Current National Police Clearance (for site access).
  • Valid C-Class WA Driver's Licence.
  • Tertiary degree in Geology, Geological Science, or equivalent.
