We are delighted to partner with our client, a forward thinking and innovative organisation providing an extensive range of services, on a national basis, in the health care sector. We are seeking a highly motivated experienced Executive Officer to provide executive and delivery support to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Transformation Officer (TO). The right candidate is a seasoned professional with a high level of initiative, diplomacy, stakeholder management skills, experience in project management and the ability to drive recommendations, which contribute to organisational strategy change and development.

About the role:

This role supports the CIO and TO in their day-to-day operations, ensuring tight governance,decision traceability and operating rhythm for the key activities of the CIO and Transformation Officer, including:

  • Secretariate responsibilities of key governance forums,
  • Preparation of documentation to support governance forums, and executive meetings,
  • Monitoring and management of risks, issues, actions and dependencies associated with the governance forums,
  • Procurement and vendor management, and stakeholder engagement,
  • Management and communications to support CIO and TO activities.
  • Other relevant duties as directed by the CIO to advance Digital Services priorities and the Transformation Officer to advance the enterprise transformation agenda.

Demonstrated Key Competencies/Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Business Administration or other relevant discipline
  • Proven experience providing executive or senior administrative support in a complex environment, ideally supporting multiple leaders or a program team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills
  • High level organisational / time management skills
  • Working knowledge of governance of governance and project coordination
  • Basic understanding of PMO practices such as RAID tracking, reporting and stage gate  preparation
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role involving multiple stakeholders
  • Advanced MS Office skills and collaboration tools such as Sharepoint and Teams
  • Experience in health, aged care, or other regulated sectors (desirable)

This role is fast- paced and has substantial responsibility that requires a broad range of skills and the ability to exercise considerable judgement, initiative, discretion and independence while interacting daily with senior staff across the organisation and with external stakeholders.
