The Opportunity

The Executive Officer is responsible for managing the processes, tasks, and activities that support the Office of the SDVC and ensure its effectiveness and impact. The role is a member of the Executive Services team within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and reports directly to the Senior Executive Officer. As the Executive Officer, you will be part of a highly collaborative team, working closely with the Senior Advisor to support SDVC's priorities.

This is an opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to provide high level executive and administrative services to the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer and provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the office. The position is located at our Footscray Park Campus.

This is a full-time position at a HEW 7, $79,570 - $86,131 classification working 36.75 hours per week on a continuing basis and with hybrid work.

An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Diary Management and Leadership Effectiveness: effective management of the Chief Financial Officer time to ensure that they can effectively deliver their priorities and meet their accountabilities. 
  • Strategic and Executive Support: provide high quality and timely executive and administrative services on a range of strategic, and operational matters.
  • Planning and People: contribute to building a people-centric culture in the portfolio.
  • Financial and Resource Management: commit to ongoing financial cost constraint and prudent use of resources.
  • Social, Environmental and Financial Impact: commit to sustainable practice and action in all that the university does and ensure that decisions align with our commitment to protecting people, place and planet.
