Leading Hand Landscaper

Casual | 15–30 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Landscaper to join our growing team in Hobart.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with practical landscaping experience who's ready to step up and guide a small team on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading day-to-day operations on landscaping job sites
  • Supervising and working alongside labourers to complete projects including Hardscape construction and Softscape installation
  • Delegating tasks and ensuring timely project progress
  • Working with the Project Manager on schedules, materials, and budget estimation
  • Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and according to plans
  • Promoting safe work practices and maintaining a clean job site

What You'll Need

Proven experience working in the landscaping industry

Your own transport and manual driver's licence

White card (construction induction card)

Strong leadership and communication skills

Strong work ethic and a good level of physical fitness

Desirable (But Not Essential)

  • Certificate 3 in Landscape Construction (or other relevant trade qualification)
  • Plant Operator tickets (excavator, skid steer)
  • MR Truck Licence
  • Prior experience in a team leader, foreperson, or supervisory role
