About the Role:

A rare leadership opportunity has now become available for a dynamic Area Manager – Independent Living to lead our Central Coast team. You'll oversee the Therapeutic Supported Independent Living (TSIL) program, guiding a small team to support young people transitioning to independence through trauma-informed care.

This hands-on role promotes best practice outcomes, manages risk and ensures compliance with safeguarding and WHS standards. Due to nature of our operations, this role requires the incumbent to be flexible to work after hours and at weekends when participating in the 24/7 on-call system (providing phone and/or onsite support as required).

This is a permanent full-time position based out of our Central Coast office.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and supervise a dedicated team of Youth and Living Skills Workers.
  • Oversee daily operations and strategic direction of the TSIL/SIL program.
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and safeguarding standards.
  • Manage budgets, records, and reporting.
  • Foster youth empowerment and community integration.
  • Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders.

What You'll Bring  

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field (or relevant industry qualifications).
  • 3+ years' experience with vulnerable youth in out-of-home care.
  • 2+ years' leading, coaching and mentoring a small team.
  • Strong crisis management and youth advocacy skills.
  • Valid Driver's Licence and insured vehicle.
