The Role & Opportunity
Due to continuous growth, we're seeking an ambitious and commercially minded leader for the newly created role of
Service Manager – NSW
. You'll lead our team of Field Service Technicians, delivering 24/7 proactive and reactive service, maintenance, and minor works projects (under $100K) for
Rauland-installed telecommunications systems
across New South Wales.
Operating in a high-stakes healthcare environment, this role demands hands-on leadership, strategic oversight, and a relentless focus on operational excellence. Reporting to the
Client Services & Operations Manager
, you'll oversee regional service performance, analyse data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance both commercial and operational outcomes.
How would you contribute to our success?
- Service Leadership:
Oversee all maintenance and servicing activities, ensuring seamless system operation in environments where reliability is critical. - Commercial Accountability:
Manage budgets, resources, and service-level agreements (SLAs), ensuring all deliverables are met while optimizing profitability and efficiency. - Critical System Performance:
Monitor and analyse service trends, ensuring proactive measures are in place to prevent system failures or downtime. - Continuous Improvement:
Develop and implement strategies that enhance service delivery, reduce risk, and maximize the reliability of systems in critical healthcare settings. - Team Management:
Lead, coach and mentor, and support a team of Field Service Technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. - Client Collaboration:
Serve as the key point of contact for clients, building trust by ensuring service expectations are consistently exceeded. - Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and healthcare-specific requirements. - Strategic Contribution:
Support the organisation's strategic objectives by aligning service operations with broader business goals.
What we are looking for | What will make your application stand out?
- Proven Experience:
in service management or a related role, ideally within telecommunications, electrical, security, fire, BMS, healthcare, or similar sectors. - Leadership Skills & Team Development:
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing technical teams and foster growth in challenging environments. - Commercial & Strategic Focus:
Strong understanding of service and maintenance agreements, cost management, revenue optimisation ana aligning operations with organisational goals. - Technical Expertise:
Solid knowledge of telecommunications systems, cabling, ICT networks and maintenance best practices. - Client & Stakeholder Management
: Exceptional communication skills with a focus on trust , reliability and long-term partnerships. - Problem Solving & Adaptability
: Skilled in crisis response, conflict management, and navigating changing priorities with innovative solutions. - Analytical Mindset:
Ability to evaluate service performance data and implement effective improvement strategies. - Qualifications & Flexibility:
Relevant technical certifications are advantageous, along with a willingness and ability to drive and travel throughout Australia.
