Senior Project Manager

ConnectSydney, a dynamic joint venture between Service Stream, Boral and Johnson Controls, will be delivering the Sydney Road Assets Performance Contract for the Harbour Zone in metropolitan Sydney. The Senior Project Manager - Structures will be responsible for overview all contract activities to ensure the required project/operational objectives are met and implement corrective actions where necessary. Overview the management and administration of sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure works are executed to the satisfaction of the client and in accordance with agreed specifications, terms, conditions and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver construction projects on time and within budget.
- Oversee construction programs, budgets, and monthly forecasting in collaboration with project managers.
- Prepare and review detailed works estimates and tender documents, ensuring alignment with company interests.
- Monitor project progress and compile monthly reports covering cost, schedule, safety, and environmental performance.
- Drive operational efficiencies and implement strategies to improve project delivery and maintenance.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Ensure all safety, environmental, community, and sustainability standards and approvals are met.
- Guide and support PMs, engineers, and supervisors in project execution and safety management.
- Contribute to bid strategy development and continuous improvement of business systems and procedures.
- Update construction milestones in JAMS and oversee site works as required.
- Lead performance management of direct reports, establishing clear roles and responsibilities.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have qualifications in the civil/electrical/mechanical engineering or trade space and possess the following experience and competencies:
- Strong experience in the Transport industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of planning scheduling functions.
- Familiar with commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of projects.
- Good command of MS Project and/or similar software
- Familiar with all activities involved in setting up project teams and site establishment relating to multidiscipline project.
- Previous people management experience
