Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the Saunders International team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role can be based at any of our Saunders offices in NSW, QLD or VIC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Finance Business Partner (FBP) will play a vital role in driving the commercial and financial success of a portfolio of business units within Saunders International Group. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the FBP will work closely with operational and project leaders to provide financial support, insight, and analysis. The role is central to ensuring effective cost control of projects, including the accurate recording, controlling, forecasting, and reporting of all financial matters, while proactively helping to improve performance and support strategic decision-making across the business
ABOUT YOU
- Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA) with approximately 5+ years' experience, or proven experience in a similar advisory-focused finance role.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial insights into business drivers and support decision-making.
- Exceptional analytical skills with demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Clear, confident communicator who can influence and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient to expert in Microsoft Excel, with strong skills in data management, analysis, and presentation.
- Solid understanding of reconciliations and maintaining financial accuracy.
- Proven problem-solving ability with critical and analytical thinking.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach.
- Appetite to drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, particularly within construction and asset services projects.
- Adaptable, resilient, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Desirable
- Industry exposure in construction, resources, or major projects advantageous but not essential.
- Experience using Jobpac ERP or similar project-based systems is desirable.
