Position summary

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be a key link between the procurement category teams and the local factory/business. You'll contribute to the development and execution of sourcing strategies—primarily across ingredients and packaging categories—while supporting operational excellence and commercial risk management.

This role offers cross-functional exposure and the chance to translate factory and business insights into sourcing and systems solutions that drive optimal outcomes for Nestlé Oceania.

A day in the life

Reporting to the Procurement Business Partner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting factories, teams, and the business with all aspects of supply, including understanding local needs, constraints, and regulations.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate contract availability to enable material ordering via SAP and associated processes.
  • Contributing to sourcing strategy development at both factory and business levels, showcasing procurement's value to the organisation.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive process and service improvements.
  • Providing procurement insights to support cost management and visibility of risks and opportunities.

  • Demonstrates strong stakeholder and supplier management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Is a curious and resilient problem solver, with a process-oriented mindset and a focus on sustainable solutions.
  • Possesses strong communication skills and commercial acumen.
  • Understands risk management and can perform relevant analysis.

Preferred Experience:

  • Success in delivering procurement projects across cross-functional and cross-market teams.
  • Experience in FMCG and/or complex multinational or local environments.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a desire to learn and grow.
