We are seeking a passionate individual to join our Emergency
Management team as Assistant Municipal Fire Prevention Officer.
About this Role
The Assistant Municipal Fire Prevention Officer is
responsible for promoting community awareness and compliance with the Country
Fire Authority Act and Fire Rescue Victoria Act, Local Laws, Regulations,
various Acts of Parliament and Fire Prevention Plans which contribute to the
protection of Latrobe City from the threat of fire.
You will act as the Assistant Municipal Fire Prevention
Officer (A/MFPO) for the purposes of identifying properties that constitute a
fire threat and issuance of fire prevention notices as a means of reducing
those risks.
About You
For this role we are seeking a highly motivated individual
with the knowledge and understanding of fire prevention and fire management.
You will have exceptional interpersonal skills to work in
partnership with the relevant fire management authorities to develop and
deliver community education campaigns in all aspects of fire safety.
You will have:
- A
qualification in Municipal Fire Prevention or equivalent fire management
experience preferred or a willingness to learn. - Current
driver's Licence
Successful applicants will be required to apply for and
satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children's
Check.
