About the opportunity
As a Property Rating Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring fair and accurate property rating, helping Council deliver essential services to residents. This is more than just numbers—it's about making a meaningful impact in a place you're proud to call home.
You will make an impact by
- Ensuring accurate property records and valuations to maximise Council revenue.
- Processing rate notices and waste management charges with precision.
- Supporting internal teams and ratepayers with expert advice and data.
- Contributing to business improvement and customer service initiatives.
- Assisting in the recovery of outstanding rates and managing concessions.
What you will bring
- Solid understanding of municipal rates, valuations, titles, and subdivisions.
- Experience using property systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with TechOne, CRM, SharePoint, and Open Office systems (desirable).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Local Government Act.
